Vonda Gates, RN, ICCE, ICD, IAT, CHT, and BirthBasics Educator

Vonda has been a certified childbirth educator since 1991. She became a DONA certified doula in 1993. As an organizing member of Prepared Childbirth of Tifton she provided childbirth education and doula care to birthing families in southern Georgia in the local regional hospital and privately.

Returning to her South Dakota roots in 2002, Vonda continues to serve the educational needs of families in the Black Hills area.

Vonda currently serves as the chair for the national ICEA Professional Childbirth Educator Program. She also enjoys sharing the Hug Your Baby program as a HUGS teacher and trainer. Locally Vonda practices as a special needs pediatric registered nurse in the Black Hills area.

Vonda is happily married. She and her husband delight in three adult children and enjoy being back home in the Black Hills.
